Worm's Eye View - Shambala 2025

Installation at Shambala Festival 2025, combining my hand-drawn light reactive patterns with analogue oil projectors on hanging wooden structures. Created in collaboration with with Martin Lines (Linear Martin).

This was my first full festival installation and confirmed my desire to dive deeper into immersive and interactive art. The experience directly inspired my current "Immersive Oil-projector Environments" project - evolving this concept from an object to more of a space that you walk into, and adding custom DMX controls so audiences can shift and transform the analogue patterns in real time.

Although we were happy with the piece, we noticed people would become extra captivated when we were physically opening the projectors and adjusting the speed/direction of the wheels, as the flow of the oil blobs would shift dramatically. We felt that giving audiences direct control would unlock deeper levels of interaction and play.
